Pace of play: Each group should make every effort to maintain pace of play.
You should be within a shot of the group in front of you. pick up & move on if you are out of the hole to speed up play!!! use USGA ESC (in your books) for your score when you pick upon a hole
Everyone should be prepared to be assigned captain of your foursome. If you are assigned to be captain for the day, it's your responsibility to: * keep your team's official scorecard (pre-stroked) * have a teammate keep a 2nd card (she can sign/attest the official card) * record the 'TIME IN' on the cardafter completing the 18th hole * circle any birdies & chip-ins on the scorecard & on the sheets * turn in signed/attested card to Monthly Coordinators * post your teammates scores - No Exceptions!
You often will play to 95% or 90% of your course handicap, depending on
the game (USGA recommendation). The official scorecard will show: hcp. percentage to be played % hcp/course hcp for each player local # for each player brief description of the game format
