2012 changes from the USGA and R&A (Revisions made every 4 years.)
** A player may smooth sand or soil in a hazard at any time, including before playing from that hazard, if it's for the sole purpose of caring for the course and Rule 13-2 is not breached. (Rule 13-4)
** There is NO PENALTY if the ball moves after it's been addressed
(e.g by a gust of wind) & it's known or virtually certain that the golfer did not cause the ball to move. The ball is played from its new position. (Rule 18-2b)
-> GPS Devices ARE allowed at The Captains.
-> Check the Local Rules sheet (posted on the Starter's shack) to see if
preferred lies are in effect.
