  The following is a summary of some of the most important by-laws of the 18-Hole Women’s
  Association. By signing this I indicate that I understand the conditions of membership.

   ·The purpose of the league is to meet for weekly golf tournaments & other related activities.

   ·All 18-Hole Association members must be members of the Captains Golf Course and
    maintain a Captains GHIN and a handicap of 36 or less.*
               *any woman who was a member prior to 12/31/89 and has not allowed her membership to lapse is eligible
                 to continue her membership regardless of her handicap.

   ·Members must play a minimum of 6 weekly tournaments. Prior to being eligible to play in
    a major tournament
(e.g. Member-Guest, Member-Member, or Association Championship), a member
    must play in at least 2 weekly tournaments in the current season. Exemptions from these
    rules may be granted by the executive board.

   ·NEW! To signup for Tuesday play, respond to the weekly signup message sent from
   
18-holewomensassociation@comcast.net.The signup deadline is Friday at 6 PM. If you
    must CANCEL before Tuesday, call a Monthly Coordinator (listed in the Assoc. book).
    On Tues. AM only, call the Captains' cancellation line (508)896-1716 ext.104. Failure to
    do so may result in a forfeiture of playing privileges the following week.

   ·Members are expected to arrive at the course at least 20 minutes prior to their tee times.

   ·The 18-Hole Association plays in accordance with the USGA rules; these rules require that
    you post all scores.The Captains GC Handicap Committee is responsible for ensuring that
    members comply with the USGA posting rules.

   ·Members must serve as an officer or on a committee at least once every other year. Members
    80 or more years old who choose not to volunteer must notify the 1
st vice-president in writing.

   ·Annual dues are payable to the treasurer by February 15th each year.
